Contests, Awards, and Scholarships
Learn what honors you can receive at convention and how to apply! Additional award forms will be released throughout the month of February, so make sure to check back regularly!
Oratorical Contest
This year, to participate in the oratorical competition, contestants will record their submissions ahead of time and send them in for review during convention. This year's prompt will be released shortly!
Club Bulletin Contest
The West Virginia Key Club District Club Bulletin Contest is open to any Key Club that is in good standing with both the West Virginia Key Club District and Key Club International. Suitable Awards will be given to the winners of this event during the West Virginia Key Club District Convention. Samples of the clubs' bulletin MUST be submitted.

Best Outfit Contest
Our theme this year is dynamic and immersive. We want to recognize those who participate in dressing up each day of convention with recognition. To apply, snap a pic of your favorite convention look and upload it to the contest form. The application will be released shortly!
Talent Contest
This year, attendees will have the opportunity to submit video acts of their specific talents! Videos should be 2-3 minutes long and will be reviewed. The top acts will be shown to all convention-goers. The details for submission will be released shortly!

Governor's Project Award
Project: Clean recognition
Project: Clean means eco service, community impact, and always doing what is best for the environment.
If your club has participated in a project along these lines, we highly recommend applying! Each application will be reviewed carefully, with one winner being announced.
District Project Award
Helping Hands recognition
The district project committee has endorsed and developed this project throughout the 2020-2021 service year.
If your club participated in a project pertaining to the district project, we encourage you to apply! Decisions will be made by the district project committee.
Preferred Charities Fundraising Award
Key Club’s Preferred Charities are March of Dimes, Trick or Treat for UNICEF, Children’s Miracle Network, and Thirst Project.
Each year, our district recognizes a club for their outstanding work with one of these organizations. If you completed a project along these lines, we highly recommended applying!
Kiwanis Family Joint Service Award
Our organization has many different branches ranging from Kiwanis to K-Kids.
In the spirit of community, each year a club is awarded for their efforts. If you did a project that involved other branches of the K-Fam, we encourage you to apply!
Distinguished Club Award

The Distinguished Club Award program will provide recognition to individual Key Clubs for their overall performance in the combined areas of club administration, membership and leadership development, Kiwanis family involvement, and service and fund-raising as judged against a pre-established standard of excellence. This is a prestigious honor granted to Key Clubs who go above and beyond what is required. Recognition is available on both the International and District Levels.
Entries shall use the official Annual Achievement Report form. All entries in the Club Achievement Awards program shall be dually entered in the Distinguished Club program. Entries shall be judged based upon achieving a percentage of accumulated points in the categories of the club Annual Achievement Report. Clubs achieving a predetermined score shall be designated as a Distinguished Club. The Key Club International Board and the West Virginia Key Club District shall set the minimum number of points required for this designation. Only activities which occurred during the district administrative year shall be included on the report.

Distinguished awards are available for club Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, Bulletin Editors, and Webmasters.
