Making the Most of DCON

There are so many amazing opportunities to take advantage of at this year’s DCON, and we want to make sure everyone can get in on the fun! Below are just a few ways that you can fully immerse yourself in this year’s district convention:

1. Become a delegate

Attending DCON as a delegate is a perfect way to make sure you have a say in what happens in our district.

Each club can have up to 2 delegates, and as one, you will be able to attend our exclusive House of Delegates session where we will discuss and vote on bylaw amendments and board elections! Check with your advisor and officers to see if there is still a spot for you to represent your club, and look to your DCON kit for more info and applications.

1. Apply for awards

Applying for awards at DCON will ensure that you bring something away from our district convention. There are plenty of scholarships, contests, and honors up for grabs, so be sure to check out the “Contests and Awards” tab of this website to see which ones are right for you. Winners will be recognized at our Recognition Session on Saturday night, so check your DCON kit to apply today.

1. Virtual Backgrounds & Dress Up

Utilizing the virtual backgrounds and dressing up in fun decades outfits is another way to fully immerse yourself into the fun of DCON. In your DCON kit, you can find instructions for using virtual backgrounds on Zoom as well as some fun decades themed ones that our planning committee worked on! You also have access to a guide on all the right clothes to dress up in to embody our theme, and it’s an awesome way to amp up your DCON experience.
